Getting Started

Revealing the Board

The reveal is the magical moment when your recipient sees all the love that's been collected for them. Here's how to make it special.

Ways to Reveal

In-Person Reveal

The most impactful option. Open the board on a tablet, laptop, or phone and hand it to your recipient. Watch their face as they scroll through all the messages.

Pro tip: If they're in the hospital, bring a tablet loaded with the board. They can browse at their own pace during recovery.

Email Reveal

Send them a beautiful reveal email with a direct link to their board. The email includes:

  • A heartfelt message from you
  • A preview of what's waiting
  • A button to view their board

Timed Reveal

Set a specific date and time for the reveal. We'll automatically send the reveal email at that moment. Perfect for:

  • Before surgery (so they see it right before going in)
  • A specific date (birthday, anniversary of diagnosis, etc.)
  • When you can't be there in person

Preparing for the Reveal

Check the Board

Before revealing, review the board to make sure:

  • You're happy with the contributions
  • No inappropriate content slipped through
  • The board looks complete (not too sparse)

Consider the Timing

Think about when your recipient will be in the best state to appreciate it:

  • Not when they're groggy from anesthesia
  • When they have time to browse (not rushing to an appointment)
  • When they might need a pick-me-up

Prepare Them (or Don't)

Decide if you want the board to be a complete surprise or if you want to build anticipation. Both approaches work well.

After the Reveal

Once revealed, your recipient can:

  • Browse all modules at their own pace
  • Listen to voice messages
  • Read cards and guestbook entries
  • Click through interactive elements
  • Return to the board anytime (the link doesn't expire)

Ongoing Support

The board doesn't have to be a one-time thing. After the reveal:

  • New contributions can still be added
  • Send announcements to let contributors know it's been revealed
  • Encourage people to add more messages over time

The Recipient's Experience

When your recipient opens the board, they'll see:

  1. A personalized header with their name
  2. The campaign message (giving context)
  3. All enabled modules filled with contributions
  4. The ability to interact with each module (open cards, play voice messages, etc.)
